September Was a Banger — Now It Gets Better
What a month it's been. Three flash days, Aris's official residency announcement, over 180 tattoos completed, and a whole lot of new faces walking through the studio doors. September will go down as one of our favourite months in the history of Felicidad, and we have all of you to thank for it.
But we're not slowing down. If you thought September was busy, wait until you see what we've got planned for October. Here's the full rundown of everything happening at the studio next month.
October Booking Window Opens Monday 29 September
First, the most important announcement: our October booking calendar opens to the public on Monday, 29 September at 9am.
A quick heads-up on availability:
- Dewa and Wayan are already 60% booked from our priority waitlist — if you want either of these two, don't sleep on Monday morning
- Made, Komang, and Eka have roughly half their October calendar still available
- Putu and Aris have the most openings, particularly for large-scale projects and custom sleeve work
- Weekend spots are limited — we only hold 8 weekend slots per artist per month, and those go within the first hour typically
Priority booking reminder
If you've had a consultation in the last 30 days, or if you booked a tattoo with us between June and August, you already have priority access starting Saturday 27 September. Check your email for the early booking link — we sent those out this morning.
Halloween Flash Day: Saturday 25 October
Save the date — we're hosting our first ever Halloween Flash Day on Saturday, 25 October, and it's going to be our most themed event yet.
Here's what we've got planned:
- All seven artists on deck with Halloween-exclusive flash sheets
- Themed designs: gothic, horror, dark ornamental, villain portraits, spooky botanicals, and classic Halloween imagery with a Felicidad twist
- Costume contest for clients — the best costume in the studio wins a free $500 tattoo voucher
- Halloween themed treats and drinks all day (non-alcoholic, don't worry)
- After-dark session: we're staying open until 9pm for the first time ever — the final two hours are for pieces that need a moody atmosphere
The full flash sheet previews will drop on our Instagram on Thursday 23 October at 6pm. The event runs from 10am to 9pm, first-come first-served, same format as our regular flash days.
Putu is going all out for this one — he's already drawn 14 pieces of classic horror villain portraits and dark cinematic work. If you missed his Flash Day 3 sheets, this is your second chance.
Guest Artist Announcement: Kadek from Ubud, Bali
We're incredibly excited to announce our first international guest artist of 2026: Kadek from Sanggar Semara Tattoo in Ubud, Bali, will be with us from 15–28 October.
Kadek is one of the most respected traditional Balinese tattoo artists working today, and a close friend of the studio who taught Dewa, Wayan, and Aris a huge amount of what they know about traditional Balinese iconography and ornamental technique. He works exclusively in hand-poked Balinese traditional designs — no machines, all hand work, using techniques that have been passed down through Balinese tattoo families for generations.
His specialties:
- Traditional Balinese spiritual protection tattoos (pegat, sakti, and lebur designs)
- Hand-poked Barong and Rangda micro designs
- Balinese script and sacred syllable work
- Traditional ornamental borders and framing
Kadek will only be taking 16 bookings during his two-week guest spot — hand-poked work is slow, careful, and he doesn't rush. Bookings open on Monday 6 October at 12pm, exclusively through our website. Consultations with Kadek are mandatory before any work is booked, as each design is personal and comes with specific cultural context that needs to be discussed.
This is a once-in-a-year opportunity to get work from one of the best traditional Balinese artists currently working, without travelling to Ubud. We expect his calendar to fill within 48 hours.
Studio Reminders and Housekeeping
A few small updates before we wrap this month up:
Touch-up policy clarification
We've had a lot of questions about touch-ups after the September flash days. Our policy is simple: complimentary touch-ups are available within 3 months of your original session, provided the healing issue isn't the result of aftercare neglect.
We book touch-ups on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons only — not weekends, not flash days. Send us a photo once your piece is fully healed (minimum 4 weeks) and we'll get you slotted in.
Consultation availability changes
Starting October, free in-person consultations will move to Mondays and Thursdays only. We're making this change to free up more artist time for actual tattooing, and to ensure every consultation gets the full hour it deserves. Virtual consultations via video call are still available any weekday, just let us know when you book.
Aftercare product restock
We're switching our in-studio aftercare product line to a new Australian-made brand starting October. Same price, same ingredients, just better packaging that's fully recyclable and doesn't leak in your bag. We'll still have our original brand available for the rest of September if you prefer it.
See You in October
September was incredible, but October is going to be the month we talk about for the rest of the year. Between Kadek's guest spot, the Halloween flash day, and all the custom work currently being drawn for October sessions, there's never been a better time to get tattooed at Felicidad.
The studio is closed this Sunday 28 September for a well-deserved team day off, but we're open all weekend on Saturday for any remaining touch-ups and last-minute consultations.
