What Is a Flash Tattoo Day?
If you've never been to a flash day before, you're in for a treat. A flash tattoo day is a special event where artists create a collection of pre-designed pieces — called "flash" — available exclusively on that day at a special rate. It's a chance to get a beautifully crafted design without the wait of a full custom booking.
Every flash piece is drawn with the same care and intention as our custom work. The only difference is the design is ready to go, so we can fit more people in and offer a more accessible price point.

How It Works
Our flash day runs on a first-come, first-served basis. Here's what to expect on the day:
- Arrive early — the best designs go quickly, and the queue forms before doors open
- Browse the flash sheets — each artist will have their designs on display, with sizes and prices clearly marked
- Pick your piece — choose one that speaks to you, and we'll check availability and placement
- Get tattooed — once you're booked in, sit back and enjoy the experience
Most flash pieces are designed to fit in specific areas — forearms, upper arms, ribs, thighs, and sternum are common spots. We'll always let you know if a design needs to be adjusted for your body.
What Kinds of Designs to Expect
Every flash day is different, but you can generally expect a mix of styles across our artists' sheets:
- Fine line florals and botanicals — delicate single-needle roses, lotuses, vines, and leaves
- Ornamental and mandala elements — sacred geometry, decorative borders, and intricate patterns
- Script and lettering — meaningful words, short quotes, and elegant typography
- Celestial and nature motifs — moons, stars, suns, waves, and small animal silhouettes
- Cultural and traditional pieces — Balinese-inspired elements, Japanese crests, and Polynesian-inspired micro designs

Designs typically range from palm-sized small pieces to larger medium-sized works. Every piece is one-of-a-kind — once a flash design is claimed, it won't be repeated exactly. That's part of what makes flash days special.
Tips for Flash Day Success
To make the most of the day, here are a few things we recommend:
Before you arrive
- Get a good night's sleep — being well-rested makes the experience more comfortable
- Eat a proper meal — low blood sugar and tattoos don't mix. Have something substantial a couple of hours before
- Stay hydrated — drink plenty of water in the 24 hours leading up to your appointment
- Wear the right clothes — if you're aiming for an arm piece, wear a short-sleeve top. For ribs or thighs, bring something loose and easy to move in
At the studio
- Be open to placement — some designs look better on certain areas. Trust your artist's suggestion
- Bring a friend — it makes the wait more fun, and they can help you decide if you're torn between options
- Be patient — flash days are busy events. We're working as fast as we can without rushing the quality
- Prepare for aftercare — we'll give you everything you need, but it helps to know the basics ahead of time
Pricing and Payment
Flash pieces are priced per design, based on size, detail, and expected session time. Pricing is clearly marked on each flash sheet so there are no surprises. We accept cash and most major cards on the day.
Keep in mind that flash day pricing is a special rate — the same designs at full custom rates would typically cost 20–30% more. It's our way of making quality tattooing more accessible to everyone.
