The Big One Is Almost Here
After two fantastic flash days earlier this month, we're wrapping up September with our biggest event yet — Flash Day 3, the Mixed Styles All-Artist session this Saturday, 20 September. Every single one of our resident artists will be in the studio with brand new flash sheets, and we've been working around the clock to make this the best flash day we've ever run.
If you're planning to come along (and you absolutely should), here's everything you need to know before you walk through the door.
Artist Lineup & Signature Styles
All seven artists will be tattooing on Saturday. Here's a quick refresher on who's bringing what so you can plan ahead:
- Dewa — delicate fine line botanicals, ornamental script, and micro mandala frames
- Made — celestial motifs, small geometry pieces, and single-needle florals
- Komang — micro animal silhouettes, minimalist symbols, and nature-inspired micro work
- Wayan — black and grey portrait icons, religious figures, and dramatic chiaroscuro small pieces
- Eka — wildlife realism miniatures, classical sculpture studies, and mythology designs
- Putu — cinematic villain portraits, dark atmospheric pieces, and pop culture realism
- Aris — Balinese spiritual iconography, ornamental blackwork borders, and neo-traditional animal miniatures
Sneak Peek of the Flash Sheets
We posted a teaser grid on our Instagram last night, but here's a bit more detail on what to expect:
- Over 120 designs across all seven artists — that's more than double Flash Day 1
- Pricing range: $150–$450, with most pieces sitting in the $200–$300 bracket
- Sizing options: everything from coin-sized micros to palm-sized medium pieces
- Placement friendly: every design is marked with recommended body areas so you can plan ahead
A few categories we're particularly excited about: Aris has drawn ten Balinese-inspired mini Barong and Rangda designs that won't be seen again, Made has created a full set of constellation pieces specific to Darwin's night sky, and Wayan has a sheet of ten iconic artist portrait studies that are going to go very quickly.
Reminders for the Day
Before you leave home
- Eat a full breakfast — bring snacks too if you're going to be waiting
- Hydrate well — bring a water bottle with you
- Wear appropriate clothing — short sleeves for arm pieces, loose tops for rib/sternum work
- Bring ID — we legally need to confirm you're 18+ before starting any work
- Have a few designs in mind — once a flash design is claimed, it's gone
At the studio
- Doors open at 10am sharp — the digital queue system opens at 9:45am
- The first 25 people get guaranteed spots before midday
- Aftercare kits are included with every flash piece — no extra charge
- Coffee and cold water are complimentary for anyone waiting
- We accept cash, cards, and PayID on the day
What Happens If I Miss Out?
If your favourite design gets claimed before you get to it, don't worry. Saturday is the last flash day of the month, but it's not the end of the road:
- Every artist will be taking custom bookings for October on the day
- We'll have a booking desk set up near the entrance with October calendars available
- If you saw a flash design you loved but it was taken, we can adapt it into a custom version for you
- Our next flash events will be announced in early October — follow us on Instagram to be the first to know
See You Saturday
Flash days are our favourite days of the month. There's an energy in the studio that's impossible to replicate on a normal booking day, and we love meeting new people and hearing their stories.
Whether you're getting your first tattoo or adding to a collection that's been growing for decades, come along and say hello. Even if you don't get tattooed, the studio will be open all day, the flash sheets will be on display, and there's always great music playing.
